Stand Beside Them (SBT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to partnering with America’s military veterans, their spouses, and their caregivers. We provide free, one-on-one coaching that supports clarity, resilience, and purposeful decision-making in career, relationships, wellness, and entrepreneurship.
Our Story
Founded in 2013, Stand Beside Them was built on a powerful belief: every veteran, spouse, and caregiver deserves support as they navigate the challenges of post-service life. Our founder, a certified professional coach, saw firsthand how structured, client-centered coaching can help veterans explore career paths, strengthen relationships, and clarify their purpose.

Why We Exist
Post-service life brings unique, often under-recognized challenges. Veterans and their families may face career transitions, shifts in relationships, or the loss of familiar structure. Professional coaching – structured, empathetic, and grounded in ethical standards – provides a space for self-reflection, growth, and purposeful action.
Our Team
Our network includes over 200 credentialed coaches across 46 states, each trained through International Coaching Federation (ICF)–accredited programs or equivalent. Every coach shares our mission and brings deep respect for service, civilian reintegration, and personal growth, offering professional, client-centered coaching to support meaningful transition and development.
