The Steps for Vets Community
One of the greatest reminders throughout Steps for Vets was seeing people from across the country come together around a shared purpose. Participants inspired one another, supporters encouraged every mile, and together they created something much bigger than a fundraising campaign. Throughout June, we heard from participants and supporters. Here are just a few of the messages that reminded us why this campaign mattered.
From Our Participants
“So great to know that my steps on the West Coast might be helping someone on the other side of the country. I love being a part of a collective movement that supports the men and women who have served our country!”
“Thank you for this amazing opportunity to be part of something bigger and more meaningful, making our miles matter. I have such gratitude for all Stand Beside Them does to support our military families.”
“Last week I was visiting Washington, D.C., and logged quite a few steps around the city where I lived for 12 years. When I saw members of the National Guard walking the city too, I decided to dedicate those steps to the men and women serving in our Guard and Reserve units. Whether serving in our communities, responding after disasters or deployed around the world, I am incredibly grateful for their commitment.”

From Our Supporters

“Because who wouldn’t support this cause!”
“Walking with thanks for our military, veterans and their families. Their sacrifices and service mean so much!”
“Happy to support the great work you’re all doing! This is so necessary and important, our veterans need and deserve the support and resources.”
These messages remind us that every step inspired another act of generosity, encouragement and gratitude. Together, we truly moved with purpose.
The Impact We Made Together
Because of your generosity and commitment, Steps for Vets brought people together from across the country to support veterans, transitioning service members, spouses and caregivers.
Campaign Highlights
Every milestone represents more than a number, it represents people coming together to ensure that no one has to navigate life after military service alone.

Together, these investments allow us to fully activate one region, bringing both coaching and connection to those who need it most.
